It seems like I have touched an open wound.

My December article, “Why Bother Picking Stocks”, generated quite a lot of positive and negative reactions among my readers. As investors, we have convinced ourselves that we know better than most what stocks to buy and when. I believe, however, that there might be easier, simpler ways to outperform the overall market without relying on being right about “high-conviction calls”.
